Starmer's waffling is just trying to gain a few political points until the news cycle moves on from the Reform triumph at the local elections. He will do nothing substantial to back up his rhetoric with action.

More generally, it's a universal truth that...

Diversity + Proximity = War

The UK elites have foolishly introduced massive hostile diversity into the UK, so there will be war, and it will be one for the ages. At the end of it, I expect that either the indigenous population will exterminate the muslim invaders, or vice versa. It's quite possible that by around 2070 there will be no muslims left in the UK, and I'm not saying they will have emigrated. Or vice-versa if the muslims win.

The UK is in deep self imposed shit that’s simply incomprehensible from the other side of the pond. I do understand that the exact same view of the US is probably felt by those overseas. What I simply don’t understand is the lack of freedom of speech, the kowtowing to Muslim immigrants and especially the seeming tolerance of the rape of your daughters. What the fuck has happened to the country of Shakespeare and Churchill? When will you show some pride in your long heritage?

The thing about Germany, which many over look, is that it has around 20% of the population being foreign born (think muslim). That is extremely high. Twice the amount of France (my country).

From Google:

"The statement that 16% of German citizens are foreign-born is not entirely accurate. While a significant portion of the German population has a migrant background, the percentage of foreign-born individuals within the total population is closer to 20% or even higher, depending on the data source and definition."

This is going to have a profound affect on the stability of the country irrespective of the AfD. Now that the state is using it's intelligence apparatus to silence the 2nd most popular party it seems the temperature in that country is bound to rise. And being Germans, thats a dangerous development.

The Labour party is facing a wipe out from both the left and the right. On the right it's Reform and on the left it's fracturing into splinters of Green (Communist Watermelon) and the islamist parties which are reaching critical mass. This means they are down to client groups to a greater level than people understand. The shitlibs are also splintering off to the Lib Dems in the leafy shires. Essentially they are being turned into a husk in a visable day by day manner and have no fixed group to pull votes and pander to. This means they need a new base to exist in any meaningful form after the next election. The other point about Islam creasing to be a client group, is they are loosing client group protection. They are now trying to set up a rival castle which will sit at the side of Labour but not under compete control.

The biggest change will be Blair telling Keir what to do and how to try and right the train. Blair has been running the Yookay since the 90s and Labour going unhinged in public will force him to assert more control to save his project.

I think people underestime the City of London stepping In due to the financial chaos. They are a real power base and the way the country is being run is a danger to their interests. These guys removed one PM a couple of years ago and they can do this again.

Keir/system are under siege by multiple factions and rival castles while bleeding support. They have to course correct and do it very very fast.

Typed on a phone while walking in bright sunlight. Don't drag me for the shit show of spelling and gammer.

Proof is in the pudding. Does he turn the boats back to France and revive the Rwanda plan? If not, it's just virtue signaling.

I don’t believe Starmer has had a come to Jesus moment about immigration, he’s just trying to take the wind out of the sails of the Reform movement

Pretty out of character for Starmer to say these things. Must be a lot more trouble brewing than we are led to believe.

I am German and I agree with Mr. Betz, that France and Britain are first heading towards civil war. The reasons for the situation in Germany being not "quite" as bad are:

1. There are more "real" jobs in Germany still. The gig economy hasn´t got here as much as in Britain. Our government though tries to change that as fast as possible.

2. There's no colonial baggage. Let's be real: the Algerian war was nightmarish and there were unspeakable French atrocities. The British also treated there subjects in ways that don ´t exactly leave warm and fuzzy feelings. Furthermore (especially in the case of the British) the ruling elite got used to a certain way to govern the colonies and then transferred that attitude to their home isles.

Germany 's "legacy" immigration is from Turkey. There are no historical hard feelings and Turkey (at least the western parts) is culturally much closer to Germany than Pakistanis are to English.

3. Nevertheless Germany will explode as well. The big West German cities Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart and Hamburg are going the way of London. In a big economic crisis society will break down in the inner cities and the disorder will impact the wealthy suburbs.

4. East Germany is a different story. That is the wild card in any future scenario. Either we will see a reconquista starting from there or maybe a secession or maybe even force from the center against nativist parties gaining power.

Thanks for sharing those thoughts. It certainly does seem like things are more tranquil in Germany, though the cities are much the same as anywhere else in Western Europe. Interesting observation on eastern Germany (I avoid saying 'East Germany,' I don't want to give the communists any extra life!).

No sweat. No need to be politically correct. Let's call a spade a spade and not imitate the obfuscation of reality the "left" is engaging in. East Germany is still very much a society apart (just like the South was many decades after the civil war) and calling things as they are should be our call sign. ... By the way: I put "left" in quotation marks as todays left has nothing in common with the old left which was actually siding with the people against the power that be. I am of the "old" left by the way.

Cheers to you and your interesting news letter.

Just a quick comment: Just as a leopard doesn't change his spots, a multi-culti Leftist doesn't suddenly become a patriot. While it's good that Starmer said this, I can't imagine that it's any more heartfelt or sincere than was Bill Clinton's 'triangulation' strategy of the 1990s. He may be letting off the gas a bit, but that's just to quiet down the passengers before accelerating once more to drive - like Thelma and Louise - off the cliff a little later than originally scheduled.

I don’t believe Starmer’s astonishing U-turn is due to fear of civil war. As you say, it’s just politics. On current polling, Labour and the Conservatives would finish a distant third and fourth in a general election, with Reform winning handily. Averting an allegedly “fascist government” is something the entire Left can agree on. Even Corbyn is (from the luxury of obscurity) arguing about means, not goals.

The elite, almost entirely white, interacts with non-whites who are basically a well-remunerated servant class, plus the occasional celebrity non-white middle class person, all of whom are well motivated to integrate. This is the world they experience and it’s what is projected by all dominant media. Conversely, non-elite British whites experience of non-whites is of vast slums and low-income and welfare dependent immigrants with minimal or negative incentive to integrate culturally.
