I had a brief encounter with the Me Too movement and I walked away from i. I walked away because these women and their supporters don’t just want justice. They want revenge and will not be satisfied until every straight, white, Christian male is in the place they have chosen for them, at the very bottom of the cultural food chain. It was like looking in the pit of hell. After my dealings with this movement and the feminist movement and looking into the pit of hell in store for them I had to walk away. In the meantime these young men my daughter had issues with and grew up with are acting like everything is going to remain the same. All I want to do is scream at the top of my lungs, get off the tracks, these weaponized young women will destroy you politically and economically then proceed to feed upon the carcass of your soul. I see the demoralization of the young men, who were successful in high school and graduated years before fall when they reach college on TIk Tok. Despite all my daughter’s issues, the institutions and the culture at large is willing to hand over the world to her at their expense. I see my own son in college trying his best to resist the demoralization. just wish I had some outside support, which would enable to publicly apologize and offer my unconditional support to the five seniors of the St Mary’s Area High School basketball team despite my daughter’s attacks and my own and to tell them that we need to work together and not against each other. I want to come forward with some protection in case they want to attack me in return.

In the meantime I have been working on my family history, which has evolved into the story of another family, which has a caused an awakening in me. If we want to rebuild after all if said and done, we need to connect with our ancestors and their resilience and determination to create a unified country with solid values.

"You don't want justice, you want revenge" is an observation I frequently make of Social Justice movements.

Sometimes I wonder if they themselves are dimly aware of this fact, or if they are so brainwashed and so utterly convinced of their own righteousness that it never even occurs to them to ask themselves the question.

Actually, purely by accident I created a family tree and am writing a family history for one of the boys on that basketball team, she went after. She is angry with me for, but getting to know his ancestors made him fully human. It tapped into my Christian faith. Now his family history will preserved for future generations. My family history is pretty much cemented in place, but his family history was never created or pursued. It was purely accidental on my part and others except his immediate family have benefited from it. I know to give to the one who offended you is not politically or culturally correct today, but it is the right thing to do.

Yes I think they are brainwashed. These girls start to hear this stuff in middle school or earlier so by the time they are in high school they just repeat without thinking.

I live in a rural area and it is even prevalent here. I am a mother of both a teenage girl, an adult boy and a teenage boy. What I noticed was the idea of women actually replacing men is in the popular music these young women listen too. The songs talk about doing it on their own, having metaphorical male body parts and men having girls parts (I refuse to date men with a pu***, referring to men with traditional values.) and to being king and occupying male positions, effectively replacing them. Despite the denial of the situation and the extra protection afforded the boys in this area, it works against them and no one wants to listen to me. They hide and deny the fact that the teenage boys in the area prefer to sleep around as opposed to a real relationship and the rampant drug use even among the good boys. Trying to push the young women back into their place in the past is ineffective and it should be dealt with head on by the adults in area. Denial is much easier and when these boys leave the area it leaves them vulnerable and ill equipped to deal with our present culture. Any thoughts?

I really enjoy your commentary here about the role that women play in the political chaos we are undergoing. One book that helped me find a more informed sense of women's preferences was "Warriors and Worriers: The Survival of the Sexes" by Dr.Joyce Benson who provides an evolutionary biology window into male and female attitudes. Men are generally interested in hierarchy and finding good allies for war (either in real life or in companies). They'll put up with some men if they have skill because the more talented men in your camp (despite their annoyance) the better for defense. Women are more interested in securing resources for themselves/own children and maintaining equality to minimize overt competition. When women do not have children, then I believe they turn those two biological desires outward to provide for "oppressed" groups with society's resources and to force equality across society broadly. We are looking at incredibly high numbers of unmarried and childless women who will continue to act in this wrecking ball way against us: supporting "oppressed" invading migrants, lowering punishments for criminals (whom they wish to care for as "helpless" children who couldn't help but carjack someone), taxing and spending endlessly from the productive... Moreover, the way that women tend to compete is to avoid direct confrontation that can lead to violence they'll lose. Instead, they simply try to socially exclude their rivals or people whom they don't like. Hence, cancel culture and the current HR corporate situation where everyone is censored and can't express themselves openly for fear of the err of a blue-haired woman who confuses her political beliefs and own identity. I can't emphasize how much I got out of this very readable book. The Kindle edition is $10. I hope you might check it out or the sample provided by Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Warriors-Worriers-Survival-Joyce-Benenson-ebook/dp/B00HO6WT3O/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1707236411&sr=8-1).

"I don’t know what the solution is. I don’t know if there is a solution. Telling women to 'get back in the kitchen' certainly isn’t one. Perhaps it’s the classical liberal in me, but I think women possessing the capacity for self-sufficiency is a good thing."

I agree, solutions, at this point are indeed difficult and may only emerge through a crucible of selective pressures many assumed had been banished places that are the sources of cuisine "diversity." However, in a very real sense women do need to "get back in the kitchen," despite the antagonistic usage. I assume, when men talk like this it is the product of the frustration of women having abandoned hearth and home to become social media managers or hr viragos and then expect normal guys to care about the pointless and/or harmful work they do and the inevitable politics of the harem. Put another way, the message ought to be made clear that the vocation of wife and mother are beautiful and a consolation/better insulation against the cruelty of the world, particularly when the flower of youth has faded.

The idea that the law cannot or should not place a check on the fairer sex's destructive impulses in the name of equality is wild. As far as self-sufficiency, were women more or less self-sufficient prior to the passage of the 19th? Or in the days of coverture? Such milieus were certainly no less conducive to self-sufficiency than today, but there are certainly other arguments to be made against them.

The sort of laws we require to improve the situation is certainly up for debate, but right now we are suffering an excess of rights and a shortage of responsibilities/duties. The result of that imbalance is a highly polluted societal landscape, a tragedy of the moral commons. The problem even those heading in the right direction and telling guys to "man up" there is no equal measure of responsibility demanded of women. Thirty five years ago, such hypocrisy may have worked as men decidedly seemed to be in charge of most environments. It is far from the case today.

I do not believe there is any solution in the hands of women, and to expect such is an exercise in frustration. Men must change, and men will change, but how many of them will be left as that shift happens is another matter. I will close with this quote from Chamfort:

“Nearly all men are slaves for the same reason that the Spartans assigned for the servitude of the Persians – lack of power to pronounce the syllable, “No.”

For a society/civilisation to function all have to agree to a set of rules. The Law. That law has to be formulated on external criteria. With Western Civilisation it is the Ten Commandments neatly distilled down to two by Jesus - Love God, Love Neighbour (others) as yourself. If The Law is based not on external but internal criteria (at best good intentions at worst lies) then Might is right, the Las of the Jungle applies. I know which I prefer.

Mr. Remington, you are right about the US having become a low trust society. The US was absolutely different 40 years ago. It is quite incredible that in 1978, when we moved from Germany to Canada, a border guard took our word at JFK airport that our Czech relative would accompany us to Canada thru the US although she didn´t have a US visa.

If the border guards are any indication of the state of a nation, the US is on the way down. In 1978 at JFk there was a border guard who was well educated, had a good command of English and a great deal of common sense that he was allowed to use. In 2004 there were half literate border guards with bad English who had to follow some binary routines. That is YES or NO with no possibility of making their own decisions. Even more shocking to me was how Halloween had changed. In my youth in the 70´s kids would go all over town on their own. In 2004 there was always a parent with them. Kids weren´t allowed to go out by themselves at Halloween anymore at all. This very college town had most definately not gotten more dangerous. It was as safe as it ever was. What had changed was the mind of the people. Somehow all the mothers had suddenly started to imagine monsters everywhere. Why is that?

I think I found the answer in Germany ten years later, in 2011 when me, my wife and three kids moved back to a village of 3000 people where I had also partly grown up in. We were strangers there. Not only strangers in the sense that people didn´t know us but also strangers in the sense that we didn´t share the local paranoia. And paranoid this village had become. Although the primary school was easily reachable on foot and there being no dangerous traffic half the kids were driven to school. It was tolerated that our elder kids walked to school. But when our youngest started to walk to Kindergarten we were called in by the teachers. Didn´t we know that it was dangerous to let our kid roam free? I answered that since the Thirty Years War (1618-1648) to my knowledge there had just been one very famous case of a minor being harmed by stranger. That was in the 19th century when a girl was murdered in the nearby forest. I wondered, where they had gotten the notion that things had become so dangerous. It turned out it was from watching the day time TV news. Evidently the sellers of ad time had figured out that nothing quite as much glues women to the screen as stories about dangers facing their children. In the Sixties and and Seventies these women would have listened to their neighbours and still had a sense of how safe or unsafe the situation really was. In 2011 their reality had already been taken over by the TV screen.

That was in 2011 and it was bad enough. Fast forward to 2024 and yesterday this very son, who had walked to Kindergarten, told me how in his quite elite government run school his female teachers had made everybody swear that they would prevent the emergence of a new Hitler that they thought to be imminent. Background to these hysterics is a quite innocuous private meeting of some semi -prominent conservatives who were wondering how to get some of the Millions of illegal migrants who had recently entered Germany to return to their homelands. This meeting had been blown out of all proportions by the media and had been presented as the forerunner to some new Holocaust. Background to all that noise is of course the fear of our ruling elite that the anti-immigrant AFD might win the next elections if things continue as they are. And as they don´t intend to change anything - that is close the border - they have no choice but to make their opponents into new Hitlers.

A final thought: women have their own - and very different from men - way to organise. It is is well known that by constantly being in verbal contact and exchanging information they synchronise their emotions and the lives of themselves and their families. For instance in this very village, where in 2011 many kids were not allowed to roam, still in the 80´s women would watch each others children. If a kid would be alone and out about you could be sure that any adult would watch over it and report back to the mother if anything happened. This is gone and has been replaced by total insecurity.

Social media has made things much, much worse. Women have traditionally been the providers of health and nutriton to their families. 20 years ago, when they still talked much more amongst each other and relied less on social networks they would have quite quickly come to the conclusion that this new disease called Covid was a nothing burger. At least as concerns their most important matter in live, their kids. But for the first time in history the powers that be managed to stifle female synchronization by rigorously censoring social media. Just think about it: the Gestapo had to use stool pigeons to learn who was speaking something forbidden. In our brave new world you can erase words the minute they are pronounced. If Facebook (the main place where German mothers congregate) wouldn´t have deleted all discussion of possible dangers, and later of all groups sharing adverse effects the goverment never would have been able to get as far with its mad policy as it did. The powers that be now repeat the same thing with their mad immigration policies. They result will be just as dire and both together will bring down the world as we know it. Reality has a way to assert itself.

I think that this is my predicament. I have historically considered myself a person of the Left, but the hysterical fanaticism of the modern Left and its bizarre fixation with reality-denying social causes have pushed me right out.
