JESUS! What is happening in Britain is astonishingly frightening. And I sure as hell ain't talkin' about gangs of white boys rampaging through the streets. They are fictional characters.
But if merry ol' England, et al, is to survive, it depends upon those white boys. Take the smart phones from the insane women, and give guns to the men.
The problem, here there and everywhere, is: in country's ruled by childless cat ladies, exotic women of vaguely Islamic color, effete NPC NGO males, and sociopathic lawyers, they just don't have the muscle to hold it all down. They have control of the law, politics, and culture, and they pretend they do, but they don't have the muscle to hold it all down.
The wild card is war. Will British elites take the country to war over Ukraine to provide cover for the mess they made and provide a way to come out on top despite their unpopularity? Stay tuned to find out!
I agree with the slander thesis, but have a couple of additional thoughts:
1) The fact that British MPs have mixed this up with reality shows that they really are out of touch with reality. I think politics is basically a fantasy land at this point.
2) There is basically zero interest, familiarity or sympathy for young white males at leadership levels now. You basically have childless cat ladies and male NPCs with no energy who can’t inspire and likely don’t have sons or familiarity with male society. A couple of generations ago you would have had a lot of male veterans in Parliament, but now you get social worker and NGO types without kids or who just shipped them off to daycare.
3) I see a rising generational conflict in the West and this type of show being part of a war on the young.
Samo Burja had a good quote on Twitter a few days ago about democracy being incompatible with an aging society. Here in Canada we have an election with polls showing greater support for Conservatives the younger you go, despite the fact that young people are more heavily minority. And you have a new PM who is grey-haired radical talking about Canada’s British roots and running nostalgic ads with Mike Meyers. So we have a situation where young people desperately need change while the old just want to squeeze young people to pay their pensions, buy insanely priced houses, go to work, join the military, while getting nothing in return. Something is going to break.
4) Britain is in bad shape materially and is heading to a debt crisis, which may lead to energy and food crises. In fact it seems the entire Western world is heading to a crisis where the elderly want their pensions, investments and house prices inflated, while there’s really nothing to squeeze. I think ethnic conflict could result, but it’s unpredictable and not guaranteed.

There are many Overton window shifts that need to occur, one of which is that the democracy-worship needs to stop. It's absolutely NOT the best form of government. Governance is ultimately utilitarian, and the system which produces the best results is the best one. I would've never said that 10 years ago, but I believe it now. Even American democracy was quite limited in the early days.
I can almost relate with Americans who want a dictator, whether they're on the Left or the Right. Nobody's really as committed to democracy as they say they are. Only the intelligentsia is and that's because the outcome of elections almost never affect them.
Not sure about a civil war but can see a low level repressive state emerging, rather like Poland or East Germany in the 70s. A corrupt and venal government that is both hated and feared. A state apparatus that functions in theory and works better for those with money and influence. State propaganda telling us that all is fine. A veneer of democracy. Grinding poverty made manageable by improvisation, barter and criminality. Weary cynicism. Eventually it may fall apart and something better may emerge but we don’t know when.
What you described is the outcome, either way. Sometimes, civil war is the product of a failed society. Sometimes, it's what causes the society to fail. Either way, what comes next is often something quite ugly. I don't see the British nationalists (the right-aligned faction) winning the war. I think the Left-Islam alliance will once more prevail, then the Muslims either force the Left into a subordinate role, or they do what they often do, which is to eliminate them altogether.
That has cheered me up no end! I think when we use the term 'civil war' we think of battles between armies of Roundheads and Cavaliers. Perhaps your interpretation is more subtle, but still a 'war' between opressor and opressed, and the opposite of the civil order that we have rather taken for granted. Whether we have a hot war or a cold war, it's still a war.
I've been thinking about this for a while now, and I'm glad somebody actually came out and said it: Britain's on track for a full-scale civil war. Being an American, I feel for our forefathers across the ocean; I honestly hope they find a way to resolve this crisis peacefully, however reality would argue that simply won't be the case. Perhaps "Adolescence" will become Britain's "Uncle Tom's Cabin" in that it will be the final straw which will break the camel's back and launch Britain into chaos.
Not sure. The split is already there between those who think Adolescence is true, brilliant and topical and those who don't. As the former are in charge of the narrative, that is the narrative.
That's an interesting way of putting it: "Adolescence" is Britain's "Uncle Tom's Cabin." Less than ten years passed between publishing and the Civil War. Given how quickly information travels today, I doubt we have half that time.

I see Adolescence as more of a “Reefer Madness”, trying to create a moral panic with over the top propaganda.
